Simple But Packs Flavor
This creamy artichoke sauce with capers is underrated but can be a flavor boost to your next meal. It’s a luscious and tangy delight that features marinated artichoke hearts for a flavorful pickled note and an infusion of lemon for a bright, citrusy kick, complementing the briny pop of capers. Rich heavy cream forms the base of the sauce. Tarragon introduces a subtle hint of sweet anise, while salt and pepper balance the flavors. The sauce is finished with a generous amount of grated Parmesan, adding a savory depth and slightly nutty finish.
Do you ever look at the chicken or pasta on the countertop and think this is boring? During the tough parenting or work days, sometimes food is what we look forward to the most. It’s easy for the classic sauces to become run-of-the-mill, bland weeknight dishes. Combine that with the convenience of ordering out and it becomes so much more important to introduce something that’s going to make your palette happy.
I remember Adam peering over my shoulder as I stared at the artichoke hearts and heavy cream. Those tiny jars were on sale, but I realized I had no real intention for them. So I stood before the saucepan, hoping inspiration would just hit. Adam took five minutes and brought out the lemon and capers. The guy knows his flavors. In no time, we had a sauce that we have gone back to multiple times. This creamy artichoke sauce will help you get on track.
